Dude – awesome list of tools! Bookmarked and will come back to it, really good tips on the shopping carts and web services. For hosting, I’m a big fan of Rackspace as well, but I’ve also used Linode (http://linode.com) for most of my freelancing projects.
Btw, ever thought of integrating some comment plugin for this blog? Like disqus (http://disqus.com) or facebook comments (http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/comments/)? Something like facebook comments may help spread your posts virally.
Thanks Sayem! Just checked out Linode – looks very cool. Kind of like a blend of Rackspace and AWS from a price/customer service/features standpoint.
Also, appreciate the tip for comment plug-ins – that’s a good idea. I’ll research the options, see what fits best and likely get something integrated.
Andrew,
Great list, I already have found at least 3 things that I started to use to save me time and frustration.
I did have one question. What do you use for accounting with Magento? I am trying to decide between Freshbooks and Quickbooks (with ECC Ecommerce Connecter). The quickbooks option is significantly more expensive but has some additional benefits to also connect with ups and automate shipment label printing. Just wanted to see your thoughts on accounting tools as well. Thanks!!

Thanks James! Glad you found some useful tools.
I use Quickbooks for all my accounting, but am not really a fan. One downside to drop shipping eCommerce is that the accounting can be pretty complex. I do mine on a quarterly basis, and it usually takes me 2-3 full days – not fun. If the Quickbooks makes your life easier and faster, even if it’s a bit more expensive I’d recommend going with that. Best of luck!
Killer resource with some very powerful tools. I really appreciate when people take time to help other entrepreneurs! I particularly will look into KissInsights and Rackspace to use for my online businesses. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Ben! Rackspace is a fantastic host, especially if you’re looking to invest in their Managed Servers – truly awesome. Best of luck!

THANK YOU VERY MUCH for sharing great info!
Glad it was useful Martin! Thanks for reading.
I stumbled upon your website today. Very nice! I own an ecommerce business and am struggling with order processing. Do you use an order processing software? I primarily drop ship and it seems that most of the software I have found was expensive (e.g. Stone Edge) or just not customizable enough for my needs.
Hey Adam! We historically haven’t used order management software, and handle much of the routing and coordinating via suppliers via email. We are, however, looking into http://www.ecommhub.com to start automating the order management process. If you’re running a Shopify, Magento or BigCommerce shop they are definitely worth checking out.
Hello,
I would like to mention a B2B SaaS solution for the Price Intelligence part : Prisync is a Online Price Tracking Software. It tracks the prices and stock availabilities of products and sends notifications when there is a change in competitors’ prices or in the market.
Additionally it allows companies to perform further benchmarking analysis by delivering beautiful reports at brands and categories level.
You can also conduct Competitor Assortment Analysis and much more with Prisync.com.
Executioner asset with some capable apparatuses. I truly acknowledge when individuals require significant investment to help different business people! I especially will investigate KissInsights and Rackspace to use for my online organizations. Keep doing awesome!
